Samsung Wants $421.8 Million From Apple For Patent Infringement

Friday, August 17, 2012

The Apple vs Samsung court battle continued this week. Earlier, we told you that Apple wants $2.5 billion from Samsung for “slavishly copying” its design. Samsung, however, fired back yesterday and said that it wants $421.8 million for patent infringements.
Samsung alleges that Apple is infringing on three utility patents for music playback, email, and photo browsing, as well as two standard essential patents.
Apple did not agree with Samsung’s statement and claimed fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory licensing terms, which would prevent the two essential patents from effecting Apple.
